    Designed around the Shimano Center Lock disc rotor standard, the CLD offers secure rotor mounting and dependable braking performance. Its lightweight construction and clean, minimalist profile make it a favorite for road and gravel bikes.     The CLD uses the Shimano Center Lock disc rotor interface for fast, secure rotor installation and dependable braking performance. Therefore, it’s an excellent choice for road and gravel bikes that demand low weight and a clean, minimalist look. At the same time, its durable construction makes it equally capable on mountain bikes and loaded touring builds. When in doubt, the CLD is the easy choice.

    At the heart of the CLD is a heat-treated, black-oxide 4130 steel axle with lightweight aluminum axle ends. Four premium Enduro sealed cartridge bearings support the hub—two in the 6061-T6 aluminum hub shell and two in the 6Al-4V titanium freehub body. Together, they provide smooth rolling performance, efficient power transfer, and exceptional long-term durability.

    The White Industries V2 VBC 2x Chainring System is a precision-machined chainring system designed for Shimano and SRAM 2x road and gravel drivetrains. We machine, finish, and inspect every chainring in our Petaluma, California facility. As a result, the V2 VBC system delivers crisp shifting, exceptional durability, and premium American craftsmanship.

    Released in 2025, the V2 VBC (Variable Bolt Circle) system is compatible with Shimano 9-12 speed drivetrains, including 105, Ultegra, GRX, and Dura-Ace, as well as SRAM 10-12 speed Apex, Rival, and Red groupsets. It works seamlessly with both mechanical and electronic shifting systems, making it an ideal upgrade for modern road and gravel bikes.

    The Variable Bolt Circle design gives riders unmatched gearing flexibility. Therefore, you can pair up to five different inner chainring sizes with a single compatible outer chainring. With 33 possible gearing combinations, the V2 VBC system allows you to optimize your drivetrain for racing, climbing, endurance rides, or mixed-surface adventures without replacing your entire crankset.

    Every V2 VBC component has been completely redesigned for improved performance. The updated outer chainring features optimized tooth profiles, revised shift ramp geometry, five precision shift pins, a replaceable chain catch pin, and recessed inner chainring bolts for a cleaner appearance and increased chainstay clearance. Together, these improvements deliver faster, smoother, and more reliable front shifting.

    The V2 VBC Chainring System remains backward compatible with all White Industries MR30 Series cranks and White Industries direct-mount square taper cranks. As a result, existing White Industries customers can upgrade to the latest chainring technology without replacing their crankset.

    Available in black and silver, the V2 VBC system also offers five anodized chainring nut colors, making it easy to customize your drivetrain while matching the look of your bike.

    V1 Compatibility

    The original V1 VBC 2x Chainring System was discontinued in April 2025. However, White Industries will continue to support existing riders by offering replacement hardware. When replacement chainrings are no longer available, simply upgrade to a complete V2 VBC chainring set. The V2 system is fully compatible with existing White Industries cranksets, making the transition simple while delivering improved shifting performance and expanded compatibility.

It is compatible with Shimano 9-12 speed drivetrains, including 105, Ultegra, GRX, and Dura-Ace, as well as SRAM 10-12 speed Apex, Rival, and Red groupsets. It works seamlessly with both mechanical and electronic shifting systems, making it an excellent choice for modern road and gravel bikes.

    The Variable Bolt Circle design provides unmatched gearing flexibility. Therefore, you can pair a single outer chainring with up to five different V2 inner chainring sizes. With as many as 33 possible gearing combinations, the VBC system allows you to fine-tune your drivetrain for racing, climbing, endurance rides, or mixed-surface adventures without replacing your entire chainring setup.

    The V2 Outer Chainring has been completely redesigned for improved shifting performance. It features optimized tooth profiles, revised shift ramp geometry, five precision shift pins, a replaceable chain catch pin, and recessed inner chainring bolts for improved chainstay clearance and a clean, integrated appearance. Together, these refinements deliver faster, smoother, and more reliable front shifting.

    The V2 VBC Outer Chainring remains backward compatible with all White Industries MR30 Series cranks and White Industries direct-mount square taper cranks. However, it is only compatible with V2 VBC Inner Chainrings. For proper installation, pair it with a V2 VBC Inner Chainring and the appropriate V2 hardware.

    The V2 Inner Chainring features redesigned tooth profiles and updated shift ramp geometry for faster, smoother front shifting. It also includes refined machining details that work seamlessly with the V2 Outer Chainring, including compatibility with five shift pins and a replaceable chain catch pin when used as a complete chainring set.

    The V2 VBC Inner Chainring is backward compatible with all White Industries MR30 Series cranks and White Industries direct-mount square taper cranks. However, it is not compatible with V1 VBC Outer Chainrings. For proper installation, pair the V2 Inner Chainring with a V2 VBC Outer Chainring and the appropriate hardware.
