    The Outback is designed for long-distance travel on dirt – from xc mtb epics to XL gravel rigs, the 25mm internal width is built for adventuring. We’ve improved the stiffness, strength, and longevity of all our gravel and trail rims by using an asymmetric (ASYM) rim design that improves spoke tension balance by up to 30%.

    The Leviathan is a high-strength road rim with drillings up to 40 spokes front and rear. It’s for those seeking the stoutest wheel they can find with all the modern features. 

    The aerodynamic 32mm rim profile and 20mm internal width offers a stout, aero, yet comfortable rim for the long, heavy-duty haul. Available in rim brake or disc brake options, the Leviathan is a great road option for road tandems or loaded road touring.

    Rims will ship directly to you from Astral Cycling in Eugene, Oregon, separately from the rest of your order.

    Note: The Leviathan is a road-specific rim designed for 25mm to 32mm tires.  Using wider than recommended tire sizes and/or pressures (see specs below) can reduce the durability and lifespan of any rim.  These rules especially apply with loaded touring bikes and tandems.  If you need to run wider tires, and/or higher pressures, please select one of our rims that better matches those needs.
