Bearing Press

Price range: $20.20 through $62.00

Finally, a bearing press that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg!  If this looks like just a piece of threaded rod and some precision bearing guides, you’re right! The important parts are the precision bearing guides, but usually you’re forced to buy a beautifully made (and expensive) handle/press to go with them.  For the home mechanic, our presses will do the same job for way less.

Description

nstalling bearings requires precision—not guesswork.

The White Industries Bearing Press help you install bearings straight and evenly every time. They reduce the risk of damaging new bearings during installation while ensuring consistent, accurate results.

When paired together, the bearing guides and our precision bearing press apply smooth, controlled pressure throughout the installation process. As a result, bearings seat correctly without unnecessary stress on the bearing or component.

The system is easy to use. All you need are two 13mm combination wrenches to complete the installation.

Choose the configuration that best fits your needs:

  • Complete front and rear hub bearing press
  • Complete bottom bracket bearing press kit (includes three sizes)
  • Individual bottom bracket bearing presses for specific bearing sizes

Whether you’re a professional mechanic or a home mechanic servicing your own bike, this tool system makes bearing installation simple, repeatable, and reliable.

Proper tools help protect your components, extend bearing life, and ensure every installation is done right the first time.

Built to support serviceability. Built to last.

FAQ

How do I remove my bottom bracket bearings?

It depends on the bottom bracket type. On our 24mm BSA and T47 bottom brackets, you can easily access the back of the bearings and carefully tap them out with a tapered drift punch, working around the bearings so they come out of the bores evenly.  On our 29mm and 30mm BSA bottom brackets, you don’t have much room on the back of the bearings so we offer a bearing removal tool just for that purpose, available on the Tools page.

How do I remove my hub and freehub body bearings?

You can easily access the back of the bearings and carefully tap them out with a tapered drift punch, working around the bearings so they come out of the bores evenly.

My bearings have slightly different part numbers than the ones listed on your guides.  Will the press work on those?

Bearing guides are listed with an inner and outer dimension. As long as those two dimensions match your bearing, you’re good to go.  ABEC 5 bearings have an extra digit which can be confusing.  Ex: the 61902 bearing we use in our rear hubs is an ABEC 5 version of a 6902 bearing.  Same exact dimensions though.  So the “6902” bearing guide will work on both bearings.  As we said, as long as the inner and outer dimensions of the guide match your bearing, you’re good to go.  The width of the bearing doesn’t matter.

Will your bearing press work with other hub and bottom bracket brands?  What about suspension pivots etc?

Bearing guides are listed with an inner and outer dimension. As long as those two dimensions match your bearing, you’re good to go.  It doesn’t matter if the bearing is going in a hub, suspension pivot, or whatever.  The width of the bearing doesn’t matter.
